Mathis Swim Academy

My name is Tatiana Mathis and I am the owner of Mathis Swim Academy in Santa Clarita, CA. I have a long history of teaching, coaching, and competing in swim. I have taught swimming for over 30 years and taught over 1,000 kids to be water safe, swimming, and preparing them for swim team. I have coached swimming and water polo at Alemany high school and Birmingham Community Charter high school. I am currently a high school PE teacher that teaches swimming for PE Swimming is my passion. I have taught students with disabilities, students on the spectrum, and students with trauma.

Growing up, I competed in swimming since I was 9 years old. I went to Junior Olympics at 14 years old and got into water polo my freshman year in high school. After high school, I went to San Diego State to play water polo and made the lifeguard academy for Pacific Beach and Mission Beach.

I am committed to teach water safety and swimming skills to anyone in a fun, positive learning environment.
